Nomadic bond-keepers who form sacred partnerships with individual Asterions.

They do not “own” them — they are chosen.

Beliefs:

• A rider’s soul is braided with their Asterion

• Death of one weakens the other

• Riding without permission is a grave spiritual crime

They act as messengers, healers, and peace mediators.

2. The Luminary Concord

A scholarly society studying starflow physics. They build observatories where Asterions frequently pass overhead, believing hoof-patterns in light reveal cosmic equations.

Goal: understand how to predict where new Asterions will form.

Criticism: Many accuse them of trying to control what should remain sacred.

3. The Iron Dominion

Industrial expansionists who believe celestial power should be harnessed.

They attempt to:

• Capture starflow currents

• Artificially create Asterions

• Forge weapons infused with condensed starlight

Their experiments have caused… distortions.​

⚠️ The Central Threat — The Nullfall

Where starflow is damaged or drained, reality dims into a phenomenon called Nullfall.

Effects:

• Color drains from the land

• Sound becomes muffled

• Time moves irregularly

• Asterions refuse to enter
   

Rumor says a corrupted Asterion caused the first Nullfall. No one has seen it — only its trail of extinguished sky.

🧥 ASTRYX RIDER CULTURE & CLOTHING 

Core Philosophy: They believe riders are living anchors allowing Asterions to remain fully present in the physical world. Without bonded riders, Asterions gradually become more celestial… and less tangible.

Base Layer — Starweave

• Fiber grown from luminescent grasses

• Changes brightness based on emotional state

Outer Cloak — Flow Mantle

• Long trailing back panels that mimic comet tails when riding

• Patterned according to bond type

Bond Markings
Painted along collarbone and wrists using mineral starlight pigment.

Color meanings:

• Gold = guardian bond

• Silver = pathfinding bond

• Blue = healing bond

• Violet = rare dual-consciousness bond

Cultural Practices

• Riders never mount from the left or right — they ascend from light alignment

• Names of Asterions are never spoken during storms

• Saddles are grown, not crafted, from living light-thread
